SME Finance Manager - York

Optimum Recruitment Group are recruiting exclusively for an amazing growth business based in York City Centre who operate within the tech space.  This is a newly created opportunity and one where the successful candidate will be able to grow their experiences as the business continues to go on a journey.

You will ideally be AAT qualified or studying towards your professional qualifications with an appetite to be responsible for the end to end accounting processes for the company. 

A standalone role reporting directly into the board team you will be expected to be responsible for the function both operationally and strategically.

Your responsibilities would include:

  • Accounts administration – purchase ledger, expenses processing, payment processing, allocating cash and some credit control
  • Payroll administration including all year end processes, pensions, commission calculations
  • VAT and MOSS returns
  • Production of monthly management accounts and associated reports
  • Management of the budget and forecast process
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Month end and year end reporting on performance
  • Preparing and building MI reports
  • Responsibility for all accounting processes and improving systems
