Optimum Recruitment Group are proud to be working with this successful business based in South Leeds, to appoint to a Senior Credit Controller opportunity.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role provides full credit control and sales ledger management and links to internal and external customers/suppliers.

Key duties include:

  • Overseeing day to day running and management of credit control function.
  • Day to day supervision of credit controller.
  • Liaise with credit insurers to ensure appropriate levels of cover are in place per customer.
  • Oversee account opening process.
  • Contacting clients by phone/e-mail regarding outstanding monies
  • Ensure collection to terms on 2 other company ledgers.
  • Customer query management.
  • Managing Weekly customer invoice runs including raising any necessary credit notes
  • Monthly customer statement run
  • Ensuring master data is accurate and current.
  • Updating of contact records via CRM.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as required.

As the successful candidate you will have demonstrable experience of credit management and ideally be CICM qualified, however this is not essential. Do you have the following personal characteristics:

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and excellent record keeping.
  • Organised logical thinker, ability to prioritise with excellent numeracy skills.
  • Team player able to support other departmental personnel.
  • Enthusiastic, enjoys working in a fast paced environment.

Salary between £25,000 - £30,000 plus benefits depending on skills and experience.
