Management Accountant (part/newly qualified) - Wakefield (WF)

Optimum Recruitment Group are recruiting for a fantastic manufacturing business who have grown exponentially over the years since they were established. Due to internal promotion, they are looking for a finalist/newly qualified Management Accountant to join the team based in Wakefield.

You will be responsible for:

  • Producing monthly management accounts for 2 business entities
  • Full P&L, balance sheet, key reconciliations and detailed commentary on accounts
  • Producing monthly cost analysis with comparisons to budget and prior year - identifying trends and action plans
  • Producing and reviewing weekly KPI's - internal and stakeholder
  • Producing short term trading business forecasts - weekly, monthly, quarterly
  • Monthly review of performance report and support ongoing development of operating profit reporting alongside senior finance team
  • Assisting with annual budgets, working closely with operations and commercial
  • Assisting with yearend statutory accounts process
  • Identifying and developing internal processes/procedure improvements
  • Managing, supervising and developing junior Assistant Accountant
  • Assisting Finance Manager/Head of Finance with any ad hoc duties

Have you got the following skills and experience?

  • Part-Qualified/Newly Qualified Accountant
  • Experience of producing full management accounts
  • Highly analytical, able to look beyond just numbers and provide meaningful insight
  • Ability to work closely with internal departments - commercial/operations
  • Managing staff would be highly desirable but not essential

Package all dependant on experience and qualifications.  Salary c£25k-£35k plus benefits including study if part qualified.
