Optimum Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with this successful SME business based near Kirbymoorside, who are looking to appoint an Interim Management Accountant to cover maternity leave for a period of up to 12 months.

The purpose of the role is to ensure the day to day finance function runs smoothly and to support the Finance Director in providing timely and meaningful management accounts.

As Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:

·       Assisting in the provision of monthly management accounts in a timely and accurate manner;
·       Manage the company invoice discounting facility;
·       Day to day cash management including payment runs and bank reconciliations;
·       Run the weekly company KPI’s;
·       VAT returns and management;
·       Statutory reporting for ONS and other government bodies;
·       Credit Control;
·       Assist in the development of the Trainee Accountant;
·       Ad-hoc project work as directed by the Financial Controller or Finance Director

The opportunity would suit someone who has demonstrable experience working in a similar role, with previous responsibility and execution of the payroll function and ideally someone with finance and accounts experience within a manufacturing and engineering environment.

The client will consider either someone studying towards professional qualifications, an AAT Technician or a qualified by experience accountant.
