Optimum Recruitment Group are proud to be working exclusively with this manufacturing business based at Normanton to recruit a Financial Accountant to produce the financial reporting of the business.
Are you newly qualified or looking for your first move out of practice looking for an opportunity in manufacturing. We are looking for someone who is keen to learn about the business but is happy doing the numbers as this would form the major part of the role.
You will be responsible for:

Producing the monthly management accounts excluding stock, variance analysis to budget explained, balance sheet reconciliations, P&L forecasting & adhoc analysis and projects.

Provide monthly reports on spend to budget for department heads.

Be responsible for business reporting - business KPI’s, finance KPI’s, weekly sample audit of stock.

Responsible for the statutory return management - EC sales lists, Intrastat, Vat Returns, and national statistics returns.

Manage Cash and currency forecasting - weekly cash flow forecasting and variance analysis, forecast and manage currency balances on three accounts and manage within business needs and oversee bank reconciliation for three currencies.

Maintain inter-company transactions on a monthly basis and agree month end balances.

Assist Inter co site with adhering to financial policies.

Provide Inter-company audit/review on overseas accounts on a monthly basis.

Manage the year end audit with external auditors and complete the year-end tax pack.

Provide information to complete statutory accounts submission.

Work to develop controls within the business to minimise risk.
