Optimum Recruitment Group are proud to be working exclusively with this fast paced, service sector client based on the outskirts of York who are looking to appoint a Finance Assistant to the team. This is a newly created additional role within the team due to growth.
Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant will support the business in a number of areas of transactional accounting including purchase ledger, sales ledger and query resolution.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the purchase ledger invoicing.
- Reconciling creditor statements with PL and requesting copy invoices if required.
- Dealing with volume email and telephone queries through to completion.
- Managing the sales invoice processing.
- Managing customer returns.
- Chasing outstanding purchase orders.
- Provide cover for other Finance team member during holidays.
- Assist with ad hoc tasks for the Accounts Department by mutual agreement with the Finance Manager.

Salary up to £28,000 (depending on skills and experience) plus a generous benefits package and clear hybrid working practices.
