Optimum Recruitment Group have been appointed on an exclusive basis to recruit an Accounts Assistant for our successful growth client based in Bradford.

Your role will contribute to the smooth running of the day-to-day activities of the finance department ensuring current policies are adhered to. Provide assistance to the Office Manager as and when required.

This role would suit someone with a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar role with high levels of attention to detail and accuracy as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Multi-currency bank reconciliations.
  • Reconciliation of online receipts.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to ensure correct pricing structures are maintained.
  • Management of central mailboxes dealing with queries in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate authorisation and entry of purchase invoices.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payments to suppliers including reconciliation of statements.
  • Production of quarterly VAT returns.
  • National Statistic Office returns.
  • Assist Office Manager as necessary with month end close.
  • Ensure processes run as smoothly and efficiently as possible always challenging the status quo to drive continuous improvement.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required by the company.

You must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar role.
  • AAT Qualified / QBE
  • The ability to work within a small team, working with others to achieve goals.

  • High levels of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good IT skills.

Salary depending on skills and experience, plus benefits. Full time office based role.
